A mum says she was disgusted to walk in on a “weird teen orgy” while shopping at a Westfield shopping centre,
Ashton Grohn said she was at Westfield North Lakes in Brisbane on Sunday at around 1.30pm when she stumbled across a group of teenagers engaging in group sex in a parents’ room.
She was with her two-year-old daughter at the time, the Courier Mail reported.
“I walked in on what I can only describe as some weird orgy,” she said.
“Four teenagers having sex on the bench near the microwave and then moved into one of the breastfeeding cubicles.”
Ms Grohn said the teens were making a great deal of noise and swearing.
“I didn’t feel comfortable saying anything to them as there were four of them and only me and my daughter,” she said.
“I threw my daughter, half dressed and the contents of my change bag into our trolley and left.
“I honestly will never be using the parents’ room without someone else with me.”
Ms Grohn alleged centre staff were indifferent about the “orgy” and giggled when she reported it.
A spokesperson for Westfield North Lakes said they took reports of incidents on their premises seriously.
“Our team responded appropriately to the report of an incident at Westfield North Lakes and followed it through with our risk and security team and the customer,” the spokesperson said.
“At this stage we have not been contacted by QPS [Queensland Police Service] in relation to the matter. We would provide full support to any of their inquiries.”
Queensland Police are now investigating.
